I hope everyone is having a GREAT week. Only 2 more days and Spring will officially be here!! I hope that we will finally have some warmer sunnier weather in Charleston! :)
Last week I spent a week in Columbia completing my first level 1 fieldwork. Not only did I spend everyday with some adorable kiddos, but I got to spend a week with a wonderful college friend, Emily. With both of us leading such busy lives with school and work, we haven't seen each other since the middle of football season. I had a great time catching up, and I hope it won't be long before we see each other again. :)
Recently, I have been reminded that there are a SOME people who will give whatever they have, whenever they can, and however they can NO MATTER what. Although they may sacrifice something for themselves and/or families in order to help others, they do it anyway. It just amazes me that these people are so willing to give and never think twice when there are others who are more "able" to give but don't. I often wonder, "Why does it always seem to be like this?" I think it is the simple fact that the more people get the more they want. And don't get me wrong I am not saying that I am one of those people I described above who always gives no matter what (you can be the judge of that), but I can say that I at least TRY to continuously give to my family, friends, charities, and the community.
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
